SyFy, a few years back, had a couple of series, first, Helix, and 2nd, 12 Monkeys.

The first series was where infected monkeys went crazy, escaped the lab, but froze to death in Greenland.

The 12 monkeys series was about people, who across time, released an ancient disease which almost destroyed all of mankind.

Did you see either of these somewhat prescient series?
