"REPLY TO NANSINGS: Don't Believe Everything You Read"

This is in reply your 8/18 post

"The information I gave was based on a news article going back about 1-1/2 years ago which I no longer have access to.  However, it revealed that the word for "mansions" used in the book of John should have been "orbs" based on information in the Dead Sea Scrolls."

(MY REPLY:  It just goes to show that a person can't believe everything that they read and that they should check the information out which is what I did before posting my reply to you at REPLY TO NANSINGS -- John 14:1 Is Not In the Dead Sea Scrolls (fivedoves.com) as there was no Christian text found in the Dead Sea scrolls.

In the Greek interlinear Bible online, the word "mansions" in John 14:2 is "monai" in Greek according to  John 14:2 Interlinear: in the house of my Father are many mansions; and if not, I would have told you; I go on to prepare a place for you; (biblehub.com)  In the NAS Bible "monai" is translated as "dwelling places." In the KJV Bible it is translated as "mansions," and in the INT Bible, it is translated as "rooms" according to Greek Concordance: μοναὶ (monai) -- 1 Occurrence (biblehub.com) It was never translated as orbs or planets.

John 14:2-3 says, "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

We will be living with God, the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ in New Jerusalem which is 12,000 furlongs in height, width and length according to Rev. 21:16.  12,000 furlongs is 1,500 miles each way.
