This clip from one of the men who developed the technology for the mark of the beast explains why it mentions one of two places where the mark will be taken.
He said the chip is 1/4 the size of a grain of rice and the power source is lithium. For the lithium to charge, they needed to find the two places on the body that changed temperature most rapidly. Turns out it's the forehead and right hand because most people are right handed. God was really ahead of the game on that information.
