"Someday This War’s Gonna End Redux"

Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and He shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.  Isaiah 13:9

Doves, for you, the war ends shortly.

You have borne your cross.  You have lived your years.  You have learned your lessons, and you have nearly completed your work.

You have been trained in patient endurance, and you have suffered loss.  You have been persecuted.  You have pain, injury, and scars, but you have held fast, and you have not denied His Holy Name.

You have claimed your healing and your victory.  You eagerly wait for His promise of a glorious future.  You hate sin, the iniquity of men, and the world of the Enemy.  You have remained apart on paths of righteousness.

You have tested the fruit of many deluded prophets, and you have not followed in their way.  You have held the self-anointed watchers accountable.  You have rejected the apostates and reprobates.  You have not believed lies and fables.

You search out His prophecies, cling to His Word, and look to the eastern sky for His Coming and your redemption.  You draw ever closer to Him and His tender mercies.  He remains faithful for you and he forgives you always.

Although the Enemy presses in, you are not moved because you abide in the Lord.  You have stumbled, but you have not been utterly cast down.  You wash your robes in the Blood of the Lamb each day.  You pray and repent.  You call on His Holy Name.

Behold, the Day of the Lord comes, and you finish your battles with rewards of Crowns and eternal life.  You are accounted worthy to escape and to stand before Him on that Day.  You will be rescued and hidden from His wrath and anger.

Nothing remains for you now but His Glorious Appearing.  Even so, come Lord Jesus.

“Someday, this war’s gonna end.  That’d be just fine with the boys on the boat.  They weren’t looking for anything more than a way home.”  —Captain Willard, Apocalypse Now
