On top of the 'normalisation' deal that Israel is attempting to cobble together with Saudi Arabia - we have this Iran/Saudi deal simmering on another burner. In my opinion, the two cancel each other out. The Saudi's cannot have their cake AND eat it too. Iran is long time enemy of Saudi Arabia. Iran has always wanted control of Mecca and Medina. The Saudi's are Sunni Muslims (the majority) and Iran are Shi'ites. The Ayatollah's have yearned for the Shi'ite branch of Islam to dominate. So, there's that!
In the proposed Israel/Saudi deal, the strident storyline is that Saudi Arabia wants to replace the Jordanians in the control of the Temple Mount. This will give the Saudi's control over the three most important Muslim sites - Mecca, Medina and the Al Aqsa mosque on Jerusalem's Temple Mount. I cannot see Iran accepting that paradigm. I cannot see how this scenario will come about. What a mess.
