THE TWO=PART PROPHECY OF WHICH JESUS READ ONLY THE FIRST PART...............

Jesus went into the synagogue on the Sabbath Day , and stood up to read the prophecy of ( Isaiah 61:1-2 ) as recorded in :

Luke 4:18-19 ( Jesus speaking )

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has appointed Me to preach the gospel.............To preach the ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD........." 

He then closed the book and sat down WITHOUT READING the rest of the prophecy.  He then said to them :

Luke 4:21  ( Jesus speaking )

"This day is this Scripture FULFILLED in your ears." 

What was the rest of Isaiah's prophecy that Jesus DID NOT READ and therefore  was NOT FULFILLED that day? The following is the rest of Isaiah's Scripture that  Jesus DID NOT FINISH , and therefore WAS NOT FULFILLED :

Isaiah 61:2

"................. , AND THE DAY OF VENGEANCE OF OUR GOD..."   

Jesus left out "THE DAY OF VENGEANCE OF OUR GOD" because that part of Isaiah's prophecy WILL BE FULFILLED in the future  by the events of  THE GOG-MAGOG WAR  exclusively upon the Nation of Israel BEFORE THE RESURRECTIONN& RAPTURE of His Church. 

SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT :

The "DAY OF VENGEANCE of our God" is yet a future prophecy TO BE FULFILLED by the GOG-MAGOG WAR of God's VENGEANCE  of wrath exclusively against the land and the people of Israel BEFORE OUR REDEMPTION according to :

Luke 21:20-24  ( Jesus speaking )

"WHEN you shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies ( Gog-Magog armies ), THEN know that the desolation thereof is near......For these are THE DAYS OF VENGEANCE that all things which are written MAY BE FULFILLED. For there shall be GREAT TRIBULATION in the land ( of Israel ), and WRATH upon this people ( of Israel ). 

Luke 21:28 ( Jesus speaking )

"WHEN these things ( the Gog-Magog War ) BEGIN to come to pass, THEN look up and lift up your heads, because YOUR REDEMPTION ( resurrection & rapture )  DRAWS NEAR."
