"My perspective on Revelation 12"

Hi John and Doves,

I am always fascinated by Revelation 12. Does it hide a certain dates which leads to Jesus returning to Jerusalem? When will the war fought between Michael and the devil occur? I begin with verse 5.

Revelation 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

The man child is Jesus. Jesus is born on Tabernacle. "And she brought forth a man child". This event took place on Tabernacle.

"who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne."

This verse is inserted to foretell Jesus ascending to his throne after his ministry is complete on earth, and his returning to earth to establish Kingdom of God at the end of tribulation.

6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

This 1260 days should begin from Tabernacle where the woman Israel gave birth to Jesus. If we take away "who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne", we have this;

5 And she brought forth a man child,  6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

The woman brought forth the man child on Tabernacle. And the woman flee into the wilderness should begin on Tabernacle also. It appears as if these two events are linear ( brought forth the man child and fleeing to the wilderness for 1260 days ). Simply put, Verse 6 ties the fleeing of the woman to the time when the woman brought forth the man child, that is, Tabernacle. Adding 1260 days to Tabernacle, we always come to Passover Nisan 15. Nisan 15 should be the day Jesus returns to Jerusalem, to put an end to this 1260 days of fleeing from persecution.

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

This battle should also take place near mid-trib, on and around Tabernacle.

" for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

The "short time" is 1260 days, mentioned in verse 6. It is also known as "time, times, and half time" in verse 14. The key to understand the timing of the events in Revelation 12 is "And she brought forth a man child" which points to Tabernacle.

"who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne." is inserted to foretell the ascension of Jesus to his throne, and his coming back to earth to establish Kingdom of God at the end of tribulation. Having said this, 1260 days shall begin on a future Tabernacle where it is remembered as the time the woman brought forth the man child.

___________

When we read the entire Revelation 12, we should notice that there are two dates being mentioned. They are Tabernacle Tishri 15 where the woman brought forth the man child, and Iyyar 25 where Jesus' ascension took place (and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.). I used to add the 1260 days to Iyyar 25. But since "and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne." is inserted to foretell Jesus ascension to heaven, Tabernacle should play a more vital role in debuting the 1260 days.

Also, the war in heaven from verse 7 to 12 and the dragon persecutes the woman from verse 13 to 17 is added to explain the cause of 1260 days in verse 6.

____________

There is another way we can look at the message in Revelation 12. The revelation was given to John at Patmos island in 95 AD. John already knew Herod tried to kill baby Jesus after he was born. John also saw the ascension of Jesus, and knew that he would come back to establish Kingdom of God on earth. So, what is the purpose of Jesus showing John the vision in Revelation 12? Why did Jesus show John the woman brought forth the man child, the devil tried to kill the man child, the child was caught up to his throne, and his coming back to rule the nations with a rod of iron? John already knew about all these.

What John didn't know is there is a future 1260 days persecution on the woman Israel orchestrated by the devil. But why did Jesus link the 1260 days persecution against Israel to the woman giving birth to the man child? The only reason I can think of is this, Jesus wants us to know that the persecution on the woman is associated with the time the man child is born, and in this case, Tabernacle.

_____________

Here's this question again. Can anyone answer why did Jesus show John the vision in Revelation 12 when John already saw and knew these events? These events are the woman Israel gave birth to Jesus. Herod tried to kill baby Jesus. The ascension of Jesus Christ, and his coming back to earth to rule with a rod of iron.  What is the purpose of Jesus showing John the events John already knew?

Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

The sun and moon being put there is to remind us the planetary movement and the moon orbits the sun in 12 months. The purpose of adding the sun and moon is to alert us to look at a date, caused by sun moon movement.

"Upon her head a crown of twelve stars" is to help us to identify this woman. This woman is Israel.

Also, the woman stands in between the sun and the moon. Sun--Woman--Moon. This points to a lunar eclipse event. In 2025, there will be a total lunar eclipse in Jerusalem on Sept 7.

_____________

Jesus was born on Tabernacle Sept 26 3 BC. A month before he was born, there was a lunar eclipse in Jerusalem. That day was August 26 Elul 14.

In 2025, there will be a lunar eclipse appears in Jerusalem. That day is Elul 14 Sept 7. It is also exactly one month before Tabernacle Oct 7 in 2025.

The Sun---Woman----Moon formation gives us a lunar eclipse (August 26 / Elul 14, 3 BC) when the woman was crying in pain, with moon on her feet,  a moment before the man child was brought forth on Sept 26 Tabernacle, 3 BC. This pattern shall occur again in 2025 when there is a total eclipse appears in Jerusalem on Elul 14 Sept 7, a month before the Tabernacle.

_____________

A note here. A woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet. It places the woman blocking the sun from the moon. This is a lunar eclipse. It places the importance of lunar eclipse when the woman was in pain, ready to bring forth the man child in 3 BC. It also places an importance of a future lunar eclipse when the woman flee into the wilderness for 1260 days.

_____________

I think I am done with Revelation 12. The reason Jesus shows John the woman giving birth to the man child is to link the fleeing of the woman for 1260 days to the time the woman was giving birth, that is, Tabernacle.
