"Very Sage Advice If You Are Seeking To Help: 2021-08-15 Haiti Updates"

Very sage advice to remember and pray about. May the Lord be with the people of Haiti.

Interestingly, as I was preparing this email to send to Five Doves, I was watching John Haller’s weekly prophecy update. I was at the 24 minute mark. Before the 25 minute mark, John Haller starts discussing the Haiti earthquake. As he continues on discussing the earthquake he talks about the culture of voodoo, etc. in Haiti, and asks could this be God judging this nation for these satanic occultic practice. I tend to agree with John. Here is that update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJlkwIpVmco&t=10s

Now, back to the Watchman earthquake forecasting. If you’ve read the emails I sent last week, there is now a “WARNING for the west coast of the U.S. for a major earthquake in the next 7-12 days.” Who knows but the LORD, but this very well may be old news by the time this week’s Five Doves updates are posted. This nation is ripe for the judgment of the LORD. I know we who are watching all continue to pray. May the eyes of this nation, and the world, turn to Jesus! He is our ONLY Hope!

Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus! Come QUICKLY!

BREAKING NEWS:

The Haiti death toll has soared to at least 1,297 confirmed deaths with more than 2,800 injured. This is more than quadruple (4x) the casualty numbers that were available this morning. As more bodies are recovered the numbers will continue climbing into the thousands as I had predicted. Hospitals are full and overwhelmed, unable to provide adequate care for victims.

Rescuers are racing the clock to pull survivors out of the rubble before they are inundated with heavy rains. Tropical storm Grace is forecasted to arrive in Haiti Monday night or early Tuesday morning, with high winds and torrential rains – further complicating rescue efforts and creating its own crisis. The National Hurricane Center is projecting as much as 8-15 inches of rain will fall in parts of the region. This will further undermine damaged structures and bring more of them down. Some who survived the initial quake will drown in the rising waters.

It is even possible than another large aftershock could occur in the region when the storm makes landfall.

Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world and has not yet recovered from the M7.0 quake back in 2010 that killed over 220,000 people (some estimates say 300,000). The 2010 quake was much closer in distance to the capital and more highly populated areas than the current quake.

For those who understand history and how these kinds of crises play out in the aftermath, this too is predictable. If we go back to the 2010 Haiti quake, we saw all kinds of politicians and celebrities trek over to the island for a photo op, wearing jeans and gloves and pretending for a few minutes to pick up debris or hold a ladle and serve in a soup line with the cameras rolling, shaking hands with political leaders, making broadcasted speeches promising aid, with high-level emotional appeals to the people of the world to send financial support through various "official" agencies.

Millions of people saw the heart-breaking photos of the 2010 devastation and sent millions of dollars - most of which NEVER was used to provide any sort of substantial aid to the people. Most of the money went to line the pockets of corrupt politicians and administrators who took advantage of the crisis and used the media to manipulate people to give into their own pockets. It will happen again. It always does.

Haiti isn't the only place this happens. It happens every time there is a major disaster somewhere in the world. The vultures and greedy vermin are waiting in line to prey upon both the victims and the donors, using the crisis to pull on the heart strings of those who want to help. Scammers come in all sizes and are known by many names - and they have perfected their strategies to deceive.

I would suggest that if you desire to help the people of Haiti, you give only through local churches or humanitarian organizations that you personally know to have a proven track record of integrity. Large organizations cannot be trusted, as has been well documented.

If your local church sends food and supplies, make sure it sends a representative from the church along to see that the items actually are being distributed to the people, not landing in a warehouse somewhere and then sold on the black market to line the pockets of corrupt politicians. Governmental agencies at home and even in the countries receiving the aid often "skim" for personal gain at the expense of the poor and needy.

We saw those planes arriving in 2010 with their precious cargo being unloaded into warehouses where much of it sat for years and rotted or was used by the families of the wealthy while the poor continued to suffer their plight. Think about it, why is Haiti still suffering a decade later? Much of the reason is because the promised aid never got to the people who needed it most.

Sincerity is not enough in giving. Do your homework. Pray and then act wisely so that what you give is actually doing what it was intended to do.

For the past 50 years or more, thousands of church-going Christians have put money in church collection plates, not knowing that some of this money is being diverted ("budgeted") to international organizations (with "church" in the name) that support terrorism, buy weapons and murder entire villages as has been documented repeatedly. Follow the money, people.

I know some will ask me where to send money or relief and I cannot make any specific recommendations from personal knowledge, except to send it through your local church or to your missionaries in the region and then send someone (two or more) from your church who can give an eye-witness account of how it was used.

This can be harder than it sounds, because governmental officials meet the planes at the airport and the cargo often is unloaded in places you cannot go. You will often get only smiling handshakes and promises from these officials without actual proof how it will be used. Or they will take one or two boxes out of a hundred and distribute it into the crowds to demonstrate their supposed generosity while the rest goes back into the hands of the corrupt politicians to be sold on the black market.

Deception is one of the hallmarks of the last days (perilous times) and it is running rampant through the media every day! Don't believe everything you hear or see on the news!

You should thank God tonight if you have a roof over your head, food to eat, running water, and electricity. Thousands of people do not have these luxuries in Haiti tonight. They have lost loved ones and adding to their grief, they have little to look forward to in terms of things getting better any time soon.

Watch and pray!
