Multiple
large magnitude quakes have rattled several parts of the world
the last three days. We have seen unprecedented numbers of
quakes, with more than 100 quakes reaching M5.0 or
higher. It is typical to see about 12-18 quakes in this range
during a three-day time frame, so we are about 6-7 times above
normal!
The
Haiti casualty numbers continue to rise as more bodies
are recovered. Damages are major and widespread. There are
