"probably not 200 million Chinese soldiers on motorcycles"

Revelation 9:16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
  19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.}

(John heard the number of them, two hundred thousand thousand,
which means the same as two hundred million.
There are other numbers of things in this book:)

Revelation 5:11b  and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

Revelation 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Revelation 7:9a After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number

Revelation 20:8b  to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

(The phrase, “number of”, is most used in Numbers, 23 times,
but next in Revelation, 10 times.
Of the various forms of the word number, numbered, numbering, etc.
40% all occur in the book of Numbers.
Numbering things and people is apparently important to Jesus:)

Matthew 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

(It gives the number of the army of the horsemen, not the number of the horses.
Yet the horses are the main things described.
These are not natural horses, and are probably fallen creatures that came up out of the pit,
that was opened in line 2 of this chapter.
So, the likelihood is that the horsemen are probably fallen creatures from the pit, as well.
No cavalry on earth has ever been anywhere near this size of 200 million.
There are only 59 million horses estimated to be in the world today, not 200 million.
And the vast majority of them are not ready to be cavalry horses.
These do not appear to be 200 million Chinese soldiers riding on motorcycles,
with flamethrowers, either, as one suggested some years back.
When John heard the number of them, it doesn’t mention who said it,
like the sixth angel, or the voice from the four horns.
Is this gigantic, hideous cavalry, all at the same location?
Were all four of these loosed angels, originally bound in the same place of the Euphrates?
Or was one bound in the upper part of the Euphrates river in Turkey?
Then the next bound downstream in the part in Syria?
Then the third bound in the part in Iraq,
and the last bound in the part in Iran, where the Euphrates goes into the gulf?
If so, all four countries that the Euphrates passes through,
are muslim countries, with a combined population of 200 million.
Is that 200 million a coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.
Are those the people that will be directly affected by these horses?
There is a city on an island in the Iranian part of the river, called Abadan.
Is that also a coincidence?
So, are all 200 million of this cavalry at the same location,
or strategically placed all along the Euphrates?)

(The horsemen had unique breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and of brimstone.
Human riders don’t have breastplates like this, with expensive gemstones, like jacinth.)

Revelation 21:19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

(Human riders also don’t have breastplates of fire, as it would burn them to death.
Nor do they have breastplates of brimstone.
Brimstone is another name for sulfur, either pure as a solid or molten liquid, or as a compound.
Pure sulfur melts at 235 ºF, but as it is heated above 370 ºF,
it becomes very viscous and dark red, then it boils at 832 ºF.
Some sulfur compounds are terrible: e.g. n-Butyl Mercaptan is like the skunk smell,
and hydrogen sulfide is like the rotten egg smell.
When sulfur burns, it gives off a very choking, irritating sulfur dioxide gas, called SO2.
Small droplets of liquid sulfur, at around 300 ºF, contact fire,
then burn, producing SO2 at about 2500 ºF.
Then there is sulfuric acid, in acid rain,
formed by SO2 and water, and is extremely corrosive to skin.)

(These are not natural horses, since their heads were as the heads of lions,
terrifying looking, and perhaps terrifying sounding.
Out of the mouths of these lion heads comes fire, smoke and brimstone.
Not only does the fire billow out, but so does the smoke,
so much that it also kills men, apparently like smoke inhalation.
Brimstone also comes out, possibly a mix of both hot vapors and molten burning sulfur,
also with sulfur dioxide & sulfuric acid.
The molten burning sulfur would probably stick to people, similar to the horrors of napalm.
How long the torment of this death would take to kill a person,
it doesn’t say, but it will be a most hideous way to die.)

(It says that men were killed by these three things, the fire, the smoke, and the brimstone.
People will be hit with an initial blast of fire,
but they will also be choking because of the thick smoke and sulfur dioxide.
Then the hot, flaming brimstone, sticking to them, will keep burning them,
until they die from burns or smoke inhalation.
What a picture of hell for the people who see this and survive.
It must be what the torments of hell are like,
and perhaps a foretaste of what the lake of fire will be like.
Except in hell and the lake of fire, no one dies, because they will already be dead.
However, there, it will be endless burning and torment due to the fire, smoke, and brimstone:)

Revelation 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

(The horses’ power is in their heads, the fire, the smoke,
and the brimstone, but also in their tails.
Their tails are like serpents, and it says that they hurt with them,
but not kill with them.
So, perhaps they repeatedly bite with their fangs,
but apparently not with any lethal snake venom.)

(It doesn’t say how long this judgment will last,
but apparently long enough until the death count reaches a third.
It doesn’t say whether that is a third of the population of the entire planet,
or one third of the people living around the Euphrates.
It also doesn’t say which direction the horses move,
north & east, or towards Israel, or into the whole world, or only localized.
There’s no indication how fast they travel,
but fallen creatures from the pit will not need to eat, drink, or sleep.
Their killing of people will probably happen as much in the night as in the day.
They are prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year,
but how long does the killing actually last?)
