"Was the response correct?"

(Someone I know, who works in a Christian school, said that a lady, who also works there,
mentioned to him that she believes that there are generational curses,
and that Christians that have them, need to fight them by the blood.
He asked me what my thoughts were, in response to what she said.
This was my response:)

(If we are saved, we have a new man, a new nature:)

II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

(That new nature is not cursed, nor can be cursed, as by example,
was prefigured in the account of Israel with Balaam:)

Numbers 23:8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?

Deuteronomy 23:5 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

(Also, in a sense prefigured in the old testament,
is the relationship of a curse to the old nature and the new nature:)

Proverbs 3:33 The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

(Curses do not come causeless:)

Proverbs 26:2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

(Our old man, the old nature still operates in the realm it always did.
Curses were, and still are, part of that realm.)

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

(But our new man exists “curseless”, because of Jesus being made a curse for us:)

 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

(Whether curses were part of that old realm of our flesh,
they, like our flesh itself, cannot be sanctified, or done away with.
Our flesh, with all its wickedness, will be with us until we go home.
The new man is not affected by curses of the old nature,
the new man cannot be corrupted or cursed.
The old nature cannot be made sanctified, or have corrupt parts of it eradicated.
All we can do is choose which realm we’ll walk in:)

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

(We don’t un-curse the old man, but rather, we put him off, curses and all.
And we willfully put on the “curseless” new man:)

Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
