John and Doves,
Derek Prince has a 10 part series on the Holy
Spirit.
Each part is invaluable in the teaching of the
Third member of the Trinity.
My intention here is to share with those who
are new to Christianity and to this board , since most Doves
already have an understanding of the Holy Spirit.
In this part, Derek discusses how the Holy
Spirit is not an "it", but a "he". He is a Person, just as
much as Jesus and God the Father are Persons.
We are meant to form a personal relationship
with each member of the Trinity, using their name in
conversational prayer.
In John 16, we are taught that the Holy Spirit
is the Spirit of Truth. He will lead us into all truth. We
are to speak the truth always.
He discloses the mysteries of prophecy to us
as we study future events; "He will tell you of things to
come".
He will not give glory to Himself, but will
only Glorify Jesus and the Father.
He is the Representative of the Godhead on
earth today, in this dispensation of time.
He is 100% God, as is Jesus 100% God, and so
is the Father 100% God. They are equal in
oneness.
"Hear O *Israel* ( I insert my own name here)
"the LORD our God is one LORD."
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all
thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."
Deuteronomy 6:4,5
Whenever the word "LORD" is capitalized, as it
is in the Old Testament,
it pertains to all three members of the
Godhead.
In Hebrew, the 3-in-1 is called "Elohim", a
plural word.
We must not grieve the Holy Spirit by our
words and actions.
When we are led of the Spirit, we practice
righteousness.
We do that which we know to be right, because
we have a conscience that is enlightened by the "still small
voice" within us: the Holy Spirit.1 Kings 19:12.
The Holy Spirit convicts
us when we are tempted.
"The flesh wars against the Spirit, and the
Spirit against the flesh."
Galatians 5:17
It is the Holy Spirit that imparts to us the
miracle of being Born Again
...being quickened in our spirit to believe
the Bible, especially the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
When we are Born Anew,
we live out the Gospel each day. We believe in
the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4:14.
And it is by the Holy Spirit--the Spirit of
Life--that we are Resurrected/Raptured at His coming to
receive us as His Bride
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
The Holy Spirit anoints us to become the sons
and daughters of God.
Romans 8:14
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God
they are the sons (and daughters) of God."
As we rise to meet our Bridegroom in the
Rapture, the Holy Spirit will be with us.
"The Spirit and the Bride say, " Come" !!
Revelation 22:17
