John and Doves,
In part 3 of the series
"Led of the Holy Spirit" Derek Prince shows us
the symbols used for the persons of the Godhead.
Jesus is represented as a Lamb.
When Jesus came to the river Jordan to be
baptized by John the Baptist, John said,
"Behold the Lamb of God who takes away
the sin (singular) of the world."
What is that singular sin of each individual
ever born ?
It is the sin of unbelief that Jesus is God
and our Lord.
It is the same sin as not trusting in Him with
all one's heart.
Deuteronomy 6:4,5.
That is the prime sin from which all other
sins come from. That sin stems from the attitude of pride.
Lucifer had it and so did Adam and Eve, and so
do all of us when we first begin to sin, before we come to
repentance.
"There in none righteous, no not one."
Romans 3:10
Revelation 5 tells us that a perfect Lamb had
to be slain as a substitute sin- offering in order for us to
be redeemed.
That Lamb presented Himself before the Father
and the whole human race
in the person of Jesus Christ.
Jesus was slain before the Creation of the
earth and of mankind...before history ever began.
Jesus had to be slain before we were born in
order to prove that Jesus did this out of pure love for us
and the Father's Plan of Redemption, "while we were yet in
our sins."
Romans 5:8
John the Revelator said,
"I wept much because no one was found worthy
to open and read the book, neither to look thereon.
"We have all sinned, and come short of the
glory of God."
Romans 3:23
So Jesus came to John the Baptist symbolized
as a sacrificial Lamb.
When John baptized Him,
the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus as a
dove, thus anointing Christ for the Salvation ministry He
was to begin.
Jesus's baptism is recorded in 3 Gospels.
In John the Apostle's Gospel it is recorded in
the Arabian desert region
" beyond Jordan"
(east of the Jordan River).
That would be the Hamitic region. John 1:28
This was noted so that 1/3 of the human
race-- the Hamitics-- would have no excuse to not
believe that Jesus was God, having had a direct revelation
from God out of heaven, that Jesus proceeded from the
Father. It was to be passed on by progeny.
Most likely this was at the Passover Season.
The direct revelation is given also in
Luke 3: 21, 22.
Luke is referred to as the
Gospel directed to the Gentiles, all nations
surrounding the Jordan.
(Japhetics)
So now, by progeny, 2/3rds of the human race
have had a direct revelation that Jesus is God.
Since this is associated with all
nations, this would most likely be at the season of
Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit appeared as a Dove in
cloven tongues of Fire.
Here the Holy Ghost anointed Believers with
the gifts of the Holy Spirit to preach the Gospel of
Repentance to all nations.
When did the Jewish nation get the direct
revelation from the Father that Jesus was His beloved Son?
At the feast of Sukkot, or Ingathering. This
is shown within a Jewish context in Matthew 17:5.
So we see how the symbols of the Lamb and the
Dove represent Jesus and the Holy Ghost.
