"REPLY TO FAY -- The Lord Jesus Christ Is Not On Earth During The Great Tribulation Of 1,260 Days Or 3 1/2 Yrs."

In reply to your post called Messiah Amongst Us? at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/aug2020/fay82-2.htm and your thoughts that the Lord Jesus will be on Earth during the Great Tribulation of 3 1/2 years, please read Matthew 24:15 -28.  In Matt. 24:15-20, we see the abomination of desolation stand in the holy place, and the people living in Judea are told to flee into the mountains and not to take anything in their house with them.  Please read the following verses carefully in Matt. 24:21-28 in regards to the Great Tribulation that then takes place, and particularly verses 23 and 26 in regards to Christ not being here on Earth:

Matt. 24:21, "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be."
Matt. 24:22, "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."
Matt. 24:23, "Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not."
Matt. 24:24, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."
Matt. 24:25, "Behold, I have told you before."
Matt. 24:26, "Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not."
Matt. 24:27, "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."
Matt. 24:28, "For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together."

The verses in Mark 13:14 -23 tell you the same thing, and please note verse 21 about the Lord Jesus Christ not being here.
Mark 13:21, "And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
Mark 13:22, "For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect."

2 Thessalonians 4:13 - 18 tells us that the dead in Christ will rise first to meet the Lord in the air after He descends from heaven, and those who are alive and remain shall be caught together with them up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and we shall be with Him ever more.

The Lord Jesus Christ does return to Earth along with the armies of heaven, and that is when all the kings of the earth and their armies are gathered together against the Lord Jesus Christ and His armies.  At this time both the beast and the false prophet are cast into the lake of fire, and the remnant were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the white horse, which sword proceeded from out of His mouth.  You will find all that information in Revelation 19:11-21.  Zechariah 14 also discusses the Lord's return to Earth when all the nations are gathered against Jerusalem and the Lord goes forth to fight those nations.  That is when He stands on the Mount of Olives and a great earthquake takes place dividing the Mount of Olives in half.  According to verse 5 all the saints are with Him at that time.

As for the Lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ, on the Mt. Sion with the 144,000 with His Father's name written in their foreheads which are depicted in Rev.14:1, I believe there is also a Mt. Sion in heaven just like there is a city of Jerusalem in heaven and one on Earth.  There is also a temple and the ark of His testimony up in heaven, and there was a temple on Earth and the ark of the covenant also which is now hidden so there must a Mt. Sion in heaven as well. In verse 3 it's only the 144,000 which were redeemed from the Earth that could learn the new song which was sung before the throne in heaven.
