Years ago
while attending a "Preparedness Expo" I met a man there who
invited me to move to the mountains of Idaho where he and
others were planning to help each other ride out the
tribulation because they were post-trib. I told him I was
pre-trib but that I would pray about it and let him know what
God said. I prayed earnestly and asked God if he wanted me to
move there (at this time I was single and had little to hold
me in So. California) and God told me that his answer to me is
Psalm 11. I didn't know what that Psalm 11 said but I knew as
soon as I read it that I would be in heaven seeing God while
the tribulation was happening and therefore had no need to
flee to their mountain. I wrote to this man and gave him all
my reasons for my assurance that there is a pre-trib rapture
and this answer from God was one more! So I was happy to see
Cal's post where David Wilkerson apparently also found the
same assurance from this Psalm:
Psalms
11:1-7 In the LORD put I my trust: How say ye to my
soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
For, lo,
the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow
upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the
upright in heart.
If the
foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
The LORD
is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his
eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
The LORD
trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth
violence his soul hateth.
Upon the
wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an
horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
For the
righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth
behold the upright.
