"Thank you Lord Jesus for making it possible for us to be able to dwell with you forever in Heaven!"

For us to be able to dwell with God in heaven, we need to be able to continuously receive His life into ourselves without being instantly destroyed by it. God's Life is Divine Love. It's also holy fire. That's why being too close to Him will instantly incinerate us if we don't have His love in us. So the question then is how can we, who are naturally violent and wicked, exist in the presence of a holy God without being tormented and destroyed? The plan the Lord came up with is so simple and yet so profound that after 2000 Years many still find it hard to believe or understand. God would send Himself into the world and then transmit His Own love from Himself in heaven to Himself on earth over a period of 33 Years. The Lord would in effect reduce the intensity of His Love, to such a degree, that Mankind would be able to receive it without being destroyed by it. The following is not a perfect analogy of what the Lord did and is doing for us. It does, however, gives us a small idea.

By being born as a man the Lord made Himself, for the lack of a better word, a "substation" that enabled Him to "step down" the love He continuously received from His Own Soul, Who He referred to as His Father while He was on earth. It was only by becoming a humble servant obedient to His Own Soul, as His Father, could He continuously receive His Own love while He was on earth. This is why the Lord prayed to His Father and obeyed His Father as Someone separate and Higher to Himself while He was on earth. Here on earth God's love can only be received gradually and slowly. That's why it took the Lord 33 Years to complete the mission of redeeming us. Divine Love has uniting power within it, that's why the Lord, through His obedience to His Father's will, which included dying on the cross, was "stepped up" after His resurrection. The Lord became the Perfect Image of the Father Himself. Because the Lord's Flesh and Bones have been fully glorified, He's the One we call "everlasting Father". Also it's the Lord Jesus Christ we're addressing when we start the Lord's Prayer with "Our Father Who is in heaven..." Hence we fulfill the prophecy "...unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his Name shall be called...The everlasting Father..."[Isa.9:6]

The Lord has ascended up into heaven now and has added something to Himself that He didn't have before - A GLORIFIED BODY! It's from this glorified body the Holy Spirit Who now dwells in us proceeds. Hence we're able to receive the love of God without being tormented and consumed by it.This is because the Lord is now able to step down His love considerably for our sake. He couldn't do this before He acquired His glorified body. Imagine the Lord's love being a billion volts at source. Through His glorified body the Lord is now able to step down His love, towards us, to the equivalent of a 1,000 volts. This is just enough to enable us to love the Lord and our neighbor as ourselves. On the day of the Rapture, however, in order to transform our natural bodies into glorious bodies the Lord is going to step up His love in us to the equivalent of 100,000 volts!!! "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself." [Phil.3:20,21]

It goes without saying that all this power pouring out from the Lord towards the earth is going to bring death and destruction to those who are not preparing themselves now to receive it. "...to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe...in that day. [2 Thess.1:7-10] Only if we humble ourselves now before the Lord Jesus Christ by acknowledging Him as our Lord and God and by obeying His commandments, do we receive His Holy Spirit and belong to Him. The Lord has no obligation to save us if we choose to reject His free gift of eternal life "...[we] are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in [us]...Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His."[Rom.8:9][words in bracket are mine]
