I appreciate the article on KJ only cult like devotion by some.
God wanted us to understand what his word says clearly
So sometimes we need to read another version of a difficult scripture to understand what is being said
I first realized that after using a children's bible so my little ones could understand on their level.
There
has been a lot of unfair comparisons KJV only folks, and even slander
on other legitimate translations, there is more than one way to say a
phrase.
I have to disagree with you somewhat on your other stance.
We do need to confront heresy and those who handle the word deceptively
I will give you an example which I have given here before.
You don't have to be a cult to have cultish behaviour.
I checked out one of the sites mentioned here, there was one
who was telling people there was no hell and would ridicule anyone who
tried to correct them. It was very frustrating. So I contacted the
administrator and basically was told I was the one with the problem.
Later I find out that this site encouraged SDA teaching.
So I then bring this issue up here at the doves. I likened what
this woman was doing to witchcraft and said the site was bewitched by
her.
If you tell people there is no hell, you throw out much
of the fear of consequences, which is a lie. Because the consequences of
sin are horrible.
So my reward for this is to be told by someone here that I was one causing division in the body.
Basically no one backed me up here.
That is until Pastor Bob showed up.
There is cultish behaviour in the SDA, that is why some leave when they figure out that things are not right,
Ellen White is no prophet.
SDA is not a cult, but they definitely do have some deceptive behaviour.
