I use the King James Version which does use the word “continue” in Revelation 13:5.  The Pure Word also uses the word “continue” in Revelation 13:5.

Revelation 13:5 ( KJV  )

"And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies,  AND POWER WAS GIVEN UNTO HIM TO CONTINUE FORTY AND TWO MONTHS."
