Passover Cup for Elijah – Will he Come at Passover 2016?
Malachi 4:5 Behold , I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible Day of the Lord Comes.
(Jesus) Matthew 17: 10.11 The disciples asked Him, Then why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first? 11 He replied, Elijah does come and will (in the future) get everything restored and ready.
In a letter to Five Doves in 19 March 2012 I looked at the Coming of Elijah and the Pre-tribulation Rapture (link to letter below). There is a simple, albeit important, follow up question - could Elijah come this Passover? With all that has been happening, including the Blood Moons, and timelines, especially for Israel, converging, this seems quite possible. Now I am not an expert on Jewish celebration of feasts, although Five Doves has greatly helped my understanding.
A cup for Elijah is part of the Passover celebration – poured for him and looking for him to enter the door. This part of the Passover looks forward to Elijah’s coming, to then herald the Coming of the Messiah (for Jews) and the (second) coming of the Lord Jesus Christ (for Christians). As we approach this 2016 Passover we need to be ready – He has promised to come at a time we think not!! In June this year, just a few weeks away, Israel will celebrate 49 years since the liberation of Jerusalem - how very close are we to Revival and Rapture!! Maranatha!! Denis
