"HARD LEFT AND OBAMA BY TODD"

The Liberal Media Pulling Hard for Obama
I've had to stop monitoring several media outlets for health reasons. The liberal media has become so biased in its news coverage that my blood pressure goes up every time I watch it butcher the truth. I've been a prophecy watcher for over 30 years, and I've never seen a point where the press was so open about its leftist agenda.
The top priority of the liberal media is to help get President Obama reelected. I'm already seeing a return of the messiah-like slant the press used to glorify Obama in the 2008 race. MSNBC's Chris Matthews recently asked this question on his Hardball program: "Is there going to be a reluctance on the part of the voters and the political community that talks politics as we get into November about dumping the first African-American president?"
The liberal media has what can only be described as a cultish admiration for Obama. Filmmaker Davis Guggenheim demonstrated this mindset when he was asked by CNN's Piers Morgan, "Most documentary makers balance these movies with the negative as well as the positive. What are the negatives in your movie about Barack Obama?" Guggenheim replied, "The negative for me was, there were too many accomplishments. I had 17 minutes to put them all in there."
Anyone who just looks at key figures for the U.S. economy would know that Obama has had many shortcomings. During the first three years of his administration, our national debt has risen by nearly $6 trillion. The price of oil has doubled, and Obama has overseen the worst jobs recovery in our nation's history. Even though all these measures are worse than during the Jimmy Carter years, the media sets forth the narrative that Obama is putting us back on the path of prosperity.
This financial data manipulation reminded me of what happened to George Bush senior in the 1992 election. During that race, the liberal media did everything it could to talk down the economy. The perception that the nation was in a deep recession is what gave Bill Clinton the edge in winning the race. After the election, the economic data came and it turned out that the economy was actually booming at a 4 percent annual growth rate.
Now that Mitt Romney seems to have the upper hand in being the Republican nominee for president, the liberal media is doing its best to paint him in a negative light. The late-night comedy show Saturday Night Live has been setting the clearest example of how the media has an agenda. The show has now opened with at least five skits that portray Romney as an awkward man who is uncomfortable in his own skin. The skits are so puzzling in their lack of humor that they could have been written by Obama's chief campaign adviser David Axelrod. Obviously, there was a decision to sacrifice the quality of the show for an opportunity to help the Obama camp.
Since the socialist American press is pulling for Obama, I'm hardly surprised to learn that Pravda, the infamous former Soviet newspaper, has decided to endorse him. The original pinko commie rag recently gave a nasty jab at Romney in the following op-ed: "Electing Mitt Romney as the next President of the United States of America would be like appointing a serial pedophile as a kindergarten teacher, a rapist as a janitor at a girls' dormitory or a psychopath with a fixation on knives as a kitchen hand."
For years, I've been frustrated by the lack of awareness of how the liberal media molds the news. The handling of the Trayvon Martin-George Zimmerman case has opened many eyes. The editing of Zimmerman’s exchange with a 911 dispatcher by NBC News to make him appear racist was one of the most egregious examples of media bias. Several national polls show that around 75 percent of the public sees the liberal press as having produced a “more polarized nation” with their slanted news coverage.
Just because people are becoming more aware of the true nature of the media doesn't mean there will be enough blowback to force them to change their tactics. The only thing that will change how the press deals with the presidency is if the American people replace Obama with Romney. After four long years of a cozy relationship between the press and the White House, people might be shocked to suddenly hear reporters saying negative things about our commander-in-chief.
This year's election will likely be one of the ugliest in our nation's history, with mud flying like crazy right up until the polls close on election night, especially if Romney takes the lead at any point. Our nation is at a critical crossroads, and the devil knows that prophetic time is running out. Since the liberal media is an extension of Satan's will, I expect it to share in its master's agitation.
"Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time" (Revelation 12:12).
