NUMBERBITE

daily number thingies that are easy to digest

Professor Ian Mallett

Dear Doves,

I believe the Lord has laid it on my heart to share some of the wonders of His mathematics in small soundbites, or rather numberbites, to enable more believers to understand God's use of numbers and to encourage them to seek His hidden treasures. I am not a 'professor' in the accepted sense of the word but my dictionary says a professor is one who openly declares belief in certain doctrines. It is my heart's desire to teach God's children some of these hidden wonders and I hope that you Doves will find blessings and inspiration through these daily offerings.

NUMBERBITE #0013 2006-10-19

IT IS WRITTEN

Matthew 4:4

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 12:32

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

When the tempter came to him, Jesus answered and said, 'It is written'. The English gematria of this phrase is 1,372 that when 'clustered' (numberbite #0011) becomes 373! This is truly remarkable for the number 373 is the gematria of the Greek word logos meaning 'word'! But that is not all concerning this phrase: The R+ (numberbite #0010) of this phrase value, 1372R+ is equal to 4103 and the highest prime factor of this figure is 373! (4103 = 11 x 373).

The plus/minus (numberbite #0012) of the word values from the beginning of the verse to the word 'written' is 149. This number is precisely and remarkably the Greek gematria value of rhema meaning word, and the first occurrence of this word is in this very verse Matthew 4:4! The first occurrence of the Greek word logos when spoken by Jesus is in Matthew 12:32.

The Greek gematria values of rhema 149 and logos 373 are both prime numbers and their prime order numbers provide yet another confirmation that God thinks 1 is prime. When 1 is counted prime the prime order number of 149 is 36 and that of 373 is 75 making a total of 111. This figure 111 is the Hebrew gematria value of the very first letter in the alphabet, aleph. But of greater significance here perhaps is that the number 111 is equal to 37 x 3, a digital representation of logos 373!

The plus/minus of the word values from the beginning of Matthew 4:4 to the word 'word' is 337, a digital anagram of 373 logos (word)! The plus/minus of the word values from the beginning of Matthew 12:32 to the word 'word' is - 111, the two prime factors 37 and 3 being a digital representation of logos 373!

The sum of 149 rhema and 373 logos is 522 and the prime factor sum of this total is 37! (522 = 2 x 3 x 3 x 29).
