NUMBERBITE

daily number thingies that are easy to digest

Professor Ian Mallett

Dear Doves,

I believe the Lord has laid it on my heart to share some of the wonders of His mathematics in small soundbites, or rather numberbites, to enable more believers to understand God's use of numbers and to encourage them to seek His hidden treasures. I am not a 'professor' in the accepted sense of the word but my dictionary says a professor is one who openly declares belief in certain doctrines. It is my heart's desire to teach God's children some of these hidden wonders and I hope that you Doves will find blessings and inspiration through these daily offerings.

The Beginning of the Testaments (part 2)

In part 1 we looked at the gematria of Genesis 1:1, the first verse of the Old Testament. Here we look at the gematria of Matthew1:1 at the beginning of the New Testament and the gematria of Genesis 1:1 at the beginning of the Old Testament combined.

Matthew 1:1

THE book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

The English gematria values are 213 142 66 213 477 66 515 410 213 210 66 418 213 210 66 143 and the total is 3641

The beginning of the Hebrew Testament, Genesis 1:1, has a gematria of 2701, equal to 37 x 73.

The English gematria of the beginning of the Old Testament, Genesis 1:1, is 2094 and the English gematria of the beginning of the New Testament, Matthew 1:1, is 3641. The sum of these two figures, 2094 + 3641, is 5735, a multiple of 37 (5 x 31 x 37) that can be expressed as 31 EL (God) x 185 the 'filling' value of EL !! ('filling' is calculated on the spelling of each letter).

The Greek gematria of Matthew 1:1 is 5876 (314 1268 688 1680 880 21 880 145)

The gematria in Hebrew and English of Genesis 1:1 and the gematria of Matthew 1:1 in Greek and English:

Genesis 1:1 2701 (Hebrew) + 2094 (English) + Matthew 1:1 5876 (Greek) + 3641 (English) = 14312 (2 x 2 x 2 x 1789)

The highest prime factor of this total, 1789, is equal to:-

386 JESUS (Hebrew) + 888 JESUS (Greek) + 515 JESUS (English)

1789 is the 279th prime number and the prime factor sum of 279 (3 + 3 + 31) is 37!!!

Praise the LORD, the Wonderful Numberer, JESUS CHRIST!
