A Study in 1 John
1
John key verse:
“I have written this to you who
believe in the name of the Son of God, so that
you may know you have eternal life. And we are confident that he
hears us whenever we ask for anything that
pleases Him. And
since we know He hears us whenever we make our
requests, we also know that He will give us what
we ask for.”

have “face” with God through Jesus, God’s Son.
Tanakh (Old

“ ‘But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,

will stand upon the earth at last.

yet in
my body I will see God!

see Him for myself.

Job

Jesus
says,
“I am the Good Shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they
know me,
just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I
sacrifice my life for the sheep.”

Isaiah

“O Jerusalem, I have
posted watchmen on your walls;
they will pray day and night, continually.
Take no rest, all you who pray to the LORD.
Give the LORD no rest until He
completes His work,
until He makes
