Recently I have written about Zechariah 14 and all that that details but I neglected to include two other passages of scripture that speak to this same unprecedented event which happens 30 days prior to the midpoint of the 7 year tribulation period and is extremely important to both Jews and Christians.
What appears in Zechariah 14 is also referenced in Isaiah 25 and to some degree in Matthew 24, this being the creation by God the Father of a massive new land mass near and including half of Jerusalem when He splits the Mount of Olives.
The passage in Isaiah 25 (as Zechariah 14) also describes how God the Father parts the Mount of Olives and the adjacent land to create this new protected valley as is described in Zechariah 14. Isaiah's version of this is different, in that, it tells who is affected and killed in the process of God creating this huge valley which extends hundreds of miles. Isaiah's version is detailed in verses 10-12.
10 For on this mountain the hand of the Lord will rest, And Moab shall be trampled down under Him, As straw is trampled down for the refuse heap.
11 And He will spread out His hands in their midst As a swimmer reaches out to swim, And He will bring down their pride Together with the trickery of their hands.
12 The fortress of the high fort of your walls He will bring down, lay low, And bring to the ground, down to the dust.
Read it for yourselves, but here is what I believe those verses indicate (my interpretation)......
I , God will rest My hand on the Mount of Olives. Then I will spread out My hands like a swimmer when doing the breast stroke. The land will separate and divide for hundreds of miles creating a huge new valley. In the process of creating this new land the peoples of Moab will be trampled down as straw is trampled down for the refuse heap. These people are those who now occupy Judea, the West Bank and Jordan. They will be destroyed, rolled under and covered up like sod by the plow. This event will bring down their Muslim pride together with the trickery of their hands.
“The fortress of the high fort of your walls”.... meaning, The Al-aqsa Mosque on the Dome of the Rock......I will bring it down, destroy it. It will be dust on the ground.
The destruction of this mosque, the third holiest site of Islam by God the Father will as stated in those verses...... destroy the pride of these people.
Read those verses for yourselves....I believe you will concur with my analysis as to what is implied in those verses.
This passage in Isaiah also sheds great light and clarity on another passage in Matthew 24 that has confounded many people...... and that is, verses 15- 20. There in Matthew we see a idol, an avatar like entity show up in Jerusalem that God refers to as...... “the abomination of desolation”. God then in verse 16 addresses only the people of Judea and says (my version).....
…...when you see this idol, avatar, AI entity, image of the beast show up there in Jerusalem run for the mountains. Don't even grab a coat....just run for the mountains and hope you're not pregnant or it's not winter..... make hast and don't let anything slow your escape.
Why do these people have to leave and what is the urgency?
Why is just Judea addressed and not all of Israel?
Why direct Judea to the mountains as opposed to other areas?
Why is there safety in the mountains as opposed to other areas?
Why does God refer to this idol that is “set up” in Jerusalem as.... the abomination of desolation?
When does this event happen?
What is this idol, avatar, AI entity?
Answers to these questions expressed below in a story line based totally on scripture.
The time of this “abomination of desolation” incident in Jerusalem will be 1290 days prior to the end of the 7 year period or 30 days prior to the midpoint. As per Daniel 12:11
By that time (date) the antichrist in concert with the false prophet and the Satanic UFO community will have established a complete stranglehold on world power.
This is the date when the antichrist declares himself to be the one true God of the universe and demands that all on earth worship him as such. Rev.13
He demands the sacrifices and offerings by all religions to their gods be stopped and now directed to him exclusively. Daniel 12
At this time, as per Revelation 13, the second beast, the false prophet oversees the arrival in Jerusalem of an idol, an avatar, a representation of the antichrist which has the ability to speak.
It is then mandated that the people there (Judea) worship this clone like image. Refusal will mean death to anyone who does not adhere. Rev.13
It appears from scripture that this abominable (clone) image will be set up on the Dome of the Rock at the Al-aqsa mosque. Isaiah 25
This is when God the Father has had enough and intervenes in a massive way.
As per Zechariah 14, Isaiah 25 He destroys this image which he considers an abomination against Himself and His covenant people the Jews.
He destroys this image by (and as a result of) creating a huge new valley / land mass there in Israel as per Zech.14.
He steps on the Mount of Olives and it splits in two from east to west making a very large valley. Half of the mountain shall move to the north and half of it to the south.
Scripture indicates that this new valley will include half of the city of Jerusalem (Zech.14:2) and be hundreds of miles long and anything that was present there before will literally be plowed under.
It appears from Isaiah 25 and other areas that this new valley will plow under, cover up, and destroy a vast area of Judea from the Mediterrian Sea in the west to the Euphrates River in the east including the Dome of the Rock.
Now, is it evident why God labeled this idol, this image, the avatar, this AI speaking entity........the abomination of desolation......or better.....the abomination that will cause desolation? Desolation of land that will take in hundreds of miles.
It should now also be evident why God the Father warned those in Judea in both the old and new testaments (Matthew, Daniel) to in all haste flee to the mountains when they witnesses the image of the beast showing up in Jerusalem.
If you look at the topography of Israel you will see the mountainous areas appear north of Jerusalem as opposed to other directions. This north direction will be the land mass not affected and destroyed by the new valley.
That's why God instructed those Jews who live in Judea (Judea will be destroyed) to flee to the mountains.....a location that won't be destroyed.
It has nothing to do with Petra. God is just saying....flee to the mountains / north as opposed to any other direction.
This great land mass that will be destroyed in the process of creating this new valley appears to entail Gaza, the West Bank and Jordan extending all the way to the Euphrates River.
I believe that the Dead Sea may be covered up as well in this process.
God even put a phrase in parenthesis between verse 15 and 16 of Matthew 24 so readers would / should acknowledge the great importance of His warning.
He said....(whoever reads, let him understand)
Now you know why God expressed such urgency in those verses in Matthew 24. A short time frame will exist between when this abomination is established in Jerusalem and when God destroys it.....along with a lot of West Bank and Jordanian (Moab) Muslims. Hopefully when that day comes the Jewish people who reside in Judea will understand and escape north toward the mountains.
